Infant Daycare in Arlington, TX
Infant Care Starting at 6 Weeks Old
Although it’s common for infant care programs to start at around 6 weeks old, leaving your child in someone else’s care is a huge first step. These formative years are essential for building a solid educational, social, and emotional foundation. Even though early education is a necessary step for your child’s development, ensuring a smooth transition from home to day care can be tough for you and your child.
At Oakwood Academy, our staff develops trust with families through our commitment to excellent care. We strive to create a classroom where you can feel safe enough to leave your child, and your child feels secure enough to learn and explore. Our curriculum encourages cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, all while fostering a love for learning.
Personalized Schedules Based on Your Baby’s Needs
At Oakwood Academy, we believe direct family involvement is key to a child’s continued development. We don’t treat ourselves as a separate system but rather as one team committed to your child’s advancement. Our caregivers maintain open communication with parents, giving resources and guidance to support their child’s growth at home. Our teachers and caregivers will match your child’s established sleep and feeding times, as aligning with your schedule can make the transition from home to daycare much easier and help your child get used to routines, even at such a young age.
Learn Through Play in a Nurturing Environment
We believe that play is essential to a child’s social, cognitive, and linguistic development. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) published a report on the importance of play for a growing mind. Proper play is vital for development because it enhances children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being. Play also offers an ideal opportunity for parents and caregivers to engage with their children. It has been shown to:
- Help children build relationships with their peers and caregivers
- Encourage them to engage and interact with their environment
- Support healthy brain development
- Guide children as they safely explore their fears and practice adult roles
Our structured, fun play-based activities ensure that children are engaged and excited to learn.
